HOUSTON SHIP PILOTS CONTINUE OPERATIONS, SCHEDULED CLOSURE ALONG SHIP CHANNEL |

HOUSTON - The Houston Ship Pilots Association continues operations. There will be a scheduled closure in the Houston Ship Channel at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, from Light 116 to Light 124 for the movement of a submerged dredge pipeline. All other ship traffic along the Houston Ship Channel will continue as normal. The Pilot's Association is responsible for guiding deep draft commercial ships, such as oil tankers and bulk carriers, through the ship channel. ###
