Coast Guard medevacs injured man from barge in Gulf of Mexico |

***Media Note: Video of the medevac is available*** NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard medevaced a 51-year-old male from a vessel approximately 80 miles south of Gulfport, Miss., Sunday. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call from the vessel Southern Hercules reporting that they had a 51-year-old male suffering symptoms of a stroke aboard an anchored work barge who needed immediate medical assistance.
