| ST. LOUIS - (From left) Coast Guard Capt. Sharon Richey, Commander of Sector Upper Mississippi River speaks to Rear Adm. Joel Whitehead, Commander of the Eighth Coast Guard District, Scott Noble, Senior Vice President of Ingram Barge Company, and Ed Henleben, Senior Vessel Operations Manager of Ingram Barge Company about flood impacted areas in the Midwest while on board a Coast Guard HC-144A Ocean Sentry today.
The group took an overflight of flooded areas, focusing on central and eastern Iowa, and northern Missouri. The goal of the overflight was to determine how to best utilize Coast Guard resources for flood response operations.
